The Consulting Engineers of BC (CEBC) is British Columbia’s provincial association of consulting firms that provide engineering and other technology-based intellectual services to the built and natural environment. Member companies offer professional engineering services worldwide to private sector and government clients.
Incorporated as a Society in 1976, with liaison groups in the Okanagan, Vancouver Island and Northern BC, the CEBC provides a top-down approach to improving the commercial environment for consulting engineering firms by lobbying to clients and policy makers in municipalities, regional districts, and the provincial government, as well as clients in the private sector. CEBC coordinates a common industry approach on procurement, contract language and liability issues. For more information about CEBC membership services see Membership Benefits.
The association’s membership consists of 86 independent
consulting engineering firms, representing a combined workforce of 7,100 engineers and geoscientists, technicians, technologists and other support staff in their consulting engineering teams. Members range in size from sole proprietors to multinational companies, and they provide a complete range of services in every aspect of:
- Buildings and Structures
- Municipal Engineering
- Transportation
- Natural Resources, Energy and Environment
- Specialized, High Tech and Soft Engineering
